A colored soda-lime glass comprises 0.5-1.0 wt.% iron (III) oxide, 20-65% iron (II) oxide, at least 0.1 wt.% cerium oxide and 0-0.2 wt.% titanium oxide. The glass has a light transmission of 15-55%, a total transmission of at most 30% and a dominant wavelength in transmission of at most 491 nm. A colored soda-lime glass comprises 0.5-1.0 wt.% iron (III) oxide, 20-65% ferrous iron (Fe2+) (ratio of Fe2+/total iron), at least 0.1 wt.% cerium oxide (CeO2) and 0-0.2 wt.% titanium oxide (TiO2). The glass has a light transmission, measured for illuminant A and calculated for a thickness of 4 mm (TLA4), of 15-55%; a total transmission in the ultraviolet measured for a thickness of 4 mm (TUV4) of at most 30%; and a dominant wavelength in transmission of at most 491 nm.
