PURPOSE: A control method of an initial departure for a belt type continuously variable transmission is provided to improve accelerating feeling, departure feeling and fuel efficiency by securing enough driving power in the initial departure. CONSTITUTION: A condition of a parameter is received by several signals. Whether a deducting value of a primary target RPM(Revolution Per Minute,Npt) from an actual primary RPM(NpA) is over a set value is detected after calculating opening rate of a throttle valve. An output engine RPM is adjusted to a target RPM by setting the target RPM when the deducting valve is over the set value. The engine RPM is adjusted by feedback when the set value is below the set value. Opening rate of a solenoid valve controlling transmission gear ratio of a primary pulley according to the engine RPM is controlled.
