PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner capable of easily removing dust sticking to a filter. SOLUTION: A cleaning plate 37 having a brush 38 brought into sliding contact with an outer filter 9 of an outer filter part 6 disposed in a dust box body 5 is mounted to the outer peripheral part of the outer filter 9, and the cleaning plate 37 is locked to an opening part of the dust box body 5. When plugging occurs to the outer filter 9, the outer filter part 6 is lifted from the dust box body 5 to remove dust on the outer peripheral surface of the outer filter 9 by the brush 38 of the cleaning plate 37.
