PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction port body and a vacuum cleaner using the suction port body capable of improving dust collecting capacity with simple constitution and restraining travel operation from becoming heavy even if the dust collecting capacity is improved. SOLUTION: This suction port body is provided with a suction port main body 13 with a laterally extending suction opening 17b provided in a bottom wall 17, and a plurality of wheels (front wheels 19 and rear wheels 20) supporting the suction port main body 13 in a longitudinally movable manner to form a clearance 22 between the bottom wall 17 and a cleaning face 21 (31). Furthermore, a square movable frame 25 extending along the opening edge part is disposed at the suction opening 17b. The movable frame 25 is supported to the suction port main body 13 so that almost the center part in the longitudinal direction of right and left sidewalls is vertically rotatable around a laterally extending support shaft 29. A lower face 30 of the movable frame 25 is provided with a front inclined face 30a and a rear inclined face 30b inclining upward toward the front and rear from a position corresponding to the support shaft 29, and a connection part between the front inclined face 30a and rear inclined face 30b is projected into the clearance 22 from the bottom wall 17.
