<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve decomposition efficiency by increasing light irradiation efficiency to sufficiently exhibit photocatalytic performance even when treating ambient air. <P>SOLUTION: An organic compound decomposition device comprises a gas introduction port 3 for introducing gas 2 to be treated, a gas exhaust port 5 for discharging treated gas 4 after organic compound decomposition, a reactor 9 partitioned from the gas introduction port 2 side with a dispersion plate 7 and also partitioned from the gas exhaust port 5 side with a filtration filter 8 and storing photocatalyst particles 10 therein, and a light source 11 disposed in the reactor 9 for irradiating the photocatalyst particles 10 with light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
