METHOD FOR SECURING THE MEMORY CONTENT OF IC CARDS

Information is stored permanently in the cells of a data memory chip contained on a card. A number of selected memory cells are used to protect the memory against illegal manipulation particularly by using a light source. The selected cells are filled with a specific content and any change is used to block the remaining cells.
