PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding stool capable of adjusting the height of a seat cloth in a used state, holding a pair of strut parts in a state of being enclosed by the seat cloth in a folded state, and being used also as a hip rest for kneeling or a pillow without being limited to a stool. SOLUTION: In this folding type stool, a pair of strut parts 1 and 2 formed in a substantially rectangular frame shape are pivotally fixed in a crossed state in X-shape in a side view, so that the strip seat cloth 4 can be laid between the upper edge parts 1A and 2A of the strut parts 1 and 2. The seat cloth 4 is constituted to be held in the state of enclosing the upper edge parts 1A and 2A and lower edge parts 1B and 2B of the strut parts 1 and 2 folded in I-shape in a side view.
