PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently produce a cement tile for a dry construction method which has an engaging groove having a trapezoidal section, on the rear side. SOLUTION: The cement tile for the dry construction method which has the engaging groove having the trapezoidal section on the rear side is manufactured by a method wherein a core is placed on the upper side of a form having a form groove having the same section as the external shape of the tile and after cement is poured into the form and set, the material of the tile is released from the form, while the core is extracted from the material so that a groove part having the trapezoidal section be formed in the rear of the material and wherein the surface of the material of the tile is processed so that the tile having a desired feel and color be obtained. In the method of manufacturing the cement tile for the dry construction method provided herein, the core has the trapezoidal section and is formed of an elastic resin material and it has a center core of a hard material inside. The core is so placed on the upper side of the form that the surface on the shorter side (the top side of the trapezoid) of the core conforms to the upper side of the form. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
