PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tatami dismantling method for efficiently dismantling an old tatami mat, and to provide a tatami dismantling apparatus and a slide blade that are used in the method. SOLUTION: A slide blade 20 having a long, curved blade is provided by crossing on a conveyance path where a conveyance band 4 is formed. The slide blade 20 is reciprocated in the longitudinal direction, and at the same time the old tatami mat 101 being placed in the conveyance band 4 is moved in one direction toward the slide blade 20. By the slide blade 20, the old tatami mat 101 is cut from a circumferential surface side for cutting into front and rear sides. A tatami mat floor having a laminated structure can be easily dismantled by one-time cutting work. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
