PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically check the tightening torque and performing the subsequent marking without any trouble of a worker in an automatic tightening machine (nut runner) used in a vehicle assembly line. SOLUTION: A marking device of an automatic tightening machine comprises an application unit 46 of a coating solution, a marking actuator 47 to move the application unit 46 between a marking position and an evacuation position, a spray can 48 with compressed gas filled together with the coating solution, a spray actuator 49 to open/close a spray nozzle of the spray can 48, a tube 50 to lead the coating solution sprayed from the spray nozzle to the application unit 46, a bracket 52 to support the spray can 48 in the longitudinal direction, and a means (not shown) to control the marking actuator 47 and the spray actuator 49 based on a tightening completion signal of the automatic tightening machine 10.
