PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner capable of easily removing dust sticking to a filter. SOLUTION: A cleaning body 39 having a brush 38 brought into sliding contact with an outer filter 9 disposed inside a dust box body 5 is disposed at the outer peripheral part of the outer filter 9, and a sliding rod 40 is laid between the cleaning body 39 and a bottom cover 21 for closing the lower face opening of the dust box body 5 in an openable manner. When the bottom cover 21 is opened, the cleaning body 39 is slid following the downward rotation of the bottom cover to remove dust sticking to the outer peripheral surface of the outer filter 9.
