PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insole of footwear used without distinction between the right foot and the left foot using a carpet and having good appearance. SOLUTION: The contour of the whole insole of footwear is shaped long and narrow and point-symmetrical, and line-symmetrical in the longitudinal direction K and in the cross direction J so that the whole of the insole of the footwear is shaped like a gourd. The surface is formed of a pile layer composed of two kinds of fibers different in solubility to a drug, whereby one kind of soluble fiber out of the two kinds of fibers is melted in the peripheral edge 12 and bordered on a slant 13 formed by a gradual decrease in thickness of the pile layer extending from the inside part to the peripheral edge.
