PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety gate for an infant having a wide adjustment range of door width and frame width so as to be attachable and detachable to various kinds of passage widths in general dwelling houses, and featuring further a light weight and excellent appearance. SOLUTION: This safety gate for an infant has a frame body 10 continuously connecting both lower end parts of lateral side frames 11 and 12 by a lower frame 13, and a door body 20 arranged within the frame body 10 and pivotally supported by one of the side frames to be longitudinally rotatable, the frame body 10 being attached and detached across a passage. Each of the lower frame 13 and the door body 20 is formed by slidably engaging a plurality of members so that the whole substantially horizontal length dimension is variable. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
