PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily change the height of a structure by demolishing an easily breakable part of the vertical concrete part of the structure and vertically connecting the reinforcing members in the inside of the concrete body and placing concrete in the periphery of the connection part of the reinforcing members. SOLUTION: An easily breakable part 2 constituted of low strength concrete is formed at a part of a vertical concrete member 1 such as a column of an elevated bridge, a pier of a bridge, or a column of a concrete building. When changing the height of a structure, after the structure upper than the easily breakable part 2 has been temporarily supported by a lifter 4, the low strength concrete of the easily breakable part 2 is chipped off and the height of structure is changed by extension or contraction of the lifter 4. Further, when the structure is raised up, additional reinforcing members are added and the upper and lower reinforcing members are integrally unified and then, the connection part of the reinforcing members are surrounded by forms to place aditional concrete in the forms. In this way, the height of a structure can be easily changed. |
