PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized inexpensive crushing treatment apparatus having high operation efficiency and simple constitution. SOLUTION: The crushing treatment apparatus for a waste gas can is equipped with a pair of crushing rollers 3 and 3 provided in a main body case 1, a can housing container 5 provided on the downstream side of the crushing rollers 3 and 3 to house crushed waste cans 4, on/off means 7 and 9 for hermetically closing the main body case 1, and a gas substitution means 30 for substituting the combustible gas G accumulated in the main body case 1 with a non-combustible gas N by the crushing treatment of the waste gas cans G. An accumulation pressure detector 34 is provided to the main body case 1 to detect the accumulated pressure of the combustible gas G accumulated in the main body case 1 and, on the basis of the detected value reaching predetermined pressure, the rotation of the crushing rollers 3 and 3 is stopped through a drive control circuit 36 to obtain the most efficient operation state.
