PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expander with a novel configuration basically different from conventional ones. SOLUTION: This expander is composed of: a pair of grips 1A and 1B having grasping parts 3A and 3B and a pair of two of belt hanging parts 4A, 5A, 4B and 5B positioned insides and on the side of the grasping parts 3A and 3B; and a belt 7 of textile with a rubber therein to be hung between the belt hanging parts of the pair of grips 1A and 1B, two of the belt hanging parts 4A, 5A, 4B and 5B are positioned parallel, and the intermediate belt hanging parts 5A and 5B on the side of the grasping parts 3A and 3B are provided with cut grooves 6A and 6B where an annular portion 11 formed on the top of the belt 7 is passed.
