PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a steam release structure separate from a general steam discharge structure by using a hole provided on an inner lid for the purpose other than steam discharge when the internal pressure of a pan rises beyond a set pressure. SOLUTION: A cylindrical packing 5 to be closely fitted to the inner lid 3 in an outer circumferential position of the hole 4 provided on the inner lid for covering the upper surface of the pan for the purpose other than steam discharge is provided to keep the airtight state. When the internal pressure of the pan becomes higher than the set pressure of rice cooking, the airtight state by the packing is released to release the steam, and the released steam is discharged to a steam passage for releasing it out of the cooker or a space communicating with the steam passage. Accordingly, even if the internal pressure of the pan becomes higher than the set pressure, this state can be immediately eliminated to enable a normal rice cooking. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
