PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slip detecting device which detects a slip between a driving shaft and an operating shaft immediately upon the occurrence of the slip due to the application of excessive torque to a screw, for instance, and to provide a screwing device which is applicable to a minute screw, a soft plastic screw, and the like by using the slip detecting device as the screwing device. SOLUTION: The slip detecting device is formed of the driving shaft 30, the operating shaft 15 arranged at a location coaxial with the driving shaft, a bearing 31 which holds the shafts, torque transmission plates 32a, 32b for transmitting the power of the driving shaft 30 to the operating shaft 15, and a piezoelectric sensor 23 having one end thereof fixed to the driving shaft 30 and the other end thereof make contact with the operating shaft 15. The slip detecting device carries out the arithmetic processing of an output from the piezoelectric sensor 23, and detects the minute slip between the operating shaft 15 and the driving shaft 30 based on the output of the arithmetic processing. Then, the slip detecting device is applied to the screwing device, and therefore the screwing device is used for fastening the minute screw made of a soft material, etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
