PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turret structure which can be clamped firmly and swiveled smoothly after unclamping. SOLUTION: A turret 4 is mounted on a fixed member 20 through a bearing 21 in order to rotate freely. The bearing 21 has a function to restrict movement in an axis direction like the deep groove ball bearing and the like, but the restriction thereof is incomplete. A clamping piston 34 driven by a pressure chamber 35 is mounted on the fixed member 20 and a 3-piece coupling 30 is operated. The 3-piece coupling 30 comprises teeth 31, 32 fixed on the turret 4 and the fixed member 20 respectively, and a tooth 33 is fixed on the piston 34 and meshed with both the teeth 31, 32. A stopper 37 is mounted on the fixed member 20 for stopping movement in an axis direction contacting with the turret 4 at clamping by the piston 34. At unclamping, the turret 4 is displaced in a reverse direction to the direction for clamping by a turret biasing means 38, and the contact between the stopper 37 and the turret 4 is released.
