METHOD FOR EXTENDING SUB PICTURE IN MOSAIC EPG IMAGE

PURPOSE: A method for extending a sub picture EPG(Electronic Program Guide) image is provided to extend a random sub picture to a proper size where the present cursor is located, among a number of sub pictures displayed in the mosaic EPG image. CONSTITUTION: According to the method for extending a sub picture in a mosaic EPG image, mosaic shape information transmitted additionally in service information provided through a mosaic EPG service is read and scanned. An extendable size of a random sub picture where the present cursor is located in the mosaic EPG image is determined, by referring to the scanned mosaic shape information. And the random sub picture is extended to the determined extendable size.
