PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optimum starting method which can reduce a reaction force and shorten a starting time when a vibration drilling apparatus is started. SOLUTION: An acceleration sensor 11 for detecting acceleration is mounted to a housing 2 of the vibration drilling apparatus 1. When the acceleration detected by the acceleration sensor 11 is larger than predetermined acceleration in starting the vibration drilling apparatus 1, a controller 10 restricts the acceleration of an electric motor 3. When the acceleration detected by the acceleration sensor 11 is smaller than the predetermined acceleration, the controller 10 accelerates the electric motor 3. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
