PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corner connector for a picture frame never causing a clearance in a butt joint on the surface side by providing a but fixing means of vertical and lateral frames, and performing the butting on the surface side preferentially to the reverse side. SOLUTION: A picture frame has the butt fixing means for mutually pressing the 45°-cut end surfaces of the vertical and lateral frames through a plastic L-shaped corner connector. In this corner connector, both insert pieces have L-shaped sectional shapes consisting of vertical width pieces bonded and fitted to the outside wall of the frame and lateral width pieces bonded and fitted to the reverse wall, and are constituted so that the surface side wall of the frame is pressed, in the base parts deeper than insert port parts, to the inside direction by the elastic force of the vertical width pieces angularly deformed to the lateral width pieces.
