PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the damage on a fishing rod capable of adjusting their length, or on the rod under use. SOLUTION: This fishing rod is a type of joining a large diameter rod tube 10 with a small diameter rod tube 12, both of which are made of fiber reinforced resin, by shaking out, and is provided by at least enabling a first joined state of fitting a first fitting part 12T1 of the small diameter rod tube with the joining part L of the large diameter rod tube in the state of drawing out the small diameter tube from the large diameter rod tube to have a longer state and a second joined state of fitting a second fitting part of the small diameter rod tube to have a shorter state with the tip end part 10E of the large diameter rod tube, having a site 10ET making the inside of the tip end part of the large diameter rod tube contact with the second fitting part relatively more strongly than that to the other part and forming the site making a contact more strongly as having a low rigidity than that of the rear part 10H of the tip end part of the large diameter rod tube.
