PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method to accurately suppress camber caused by a sizing press device without causing waste of time or predicted error. SOLUTION: Camber of the slab S is detected by angle deviation between an oscillating crank 3 on the drive side of the sizing press device and an oscillating crank 5 on the work side thereof. Then, compensation amount for speed in accordance with the angle deviation is calculated with a speed correction element 10, and the speed compensation amount is added to an oscillating crank motor 6. Accordingly, the phase between the oscillating cranks 3, 5 is varied and position of a die 2 relative to a die 1 is dislocated, thus the camber is suppressed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
