PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple, light, and easy-to-use transferring apparatus with which an invalid person is caused no pain when helped on and off, and a caregiver can do a transferring work easily. SOLUTION: The transferring apparatus is disposed with a bracket movable up and down, which has a pair of guide depressions, a supporting component is supported through a plurality of rollers which roll in the guide depressions, and the rollers can move up and down along the guide depressions. The front end of the supporting component slopes ahead down by a positional change of the rollers when the rollers are positioned at the top ends, and the supporting component keeps an approximately horizontal condition or a little sloped ahead up condition with an elevation angle when the rollers are seated at the bottom end positions of the guide depressions. The transferring apparatus has a timer and a sensor for detecting a positional relation between the guide depression and the roller, and, if an approach switch is turned on when the front end of the supporting component stays in the sloping ahead down condition, the bracket descends automatically after a prescribed time set by the timer, and the bottom face of the supporting component becomes horizontal.
