<p>Polyfluoroalkyl phosphorus cpd., of the formula:- (where Rf is perfluoroalkyl of more than 5C atoms which may have a Cl or H atom replacing F in the alpha-position; X is H or alkyl; Y is alkoxy, aralkoxy, aryloxy, epoxyalkoxy, amine, halogen, -SH or -OH; n is 2-7 and Q is O or S). Acid derivs. carrying polymerisable ester and amide groups. Impregnating wood, varnish, leather textiles and paper to render them oil- and dirt-repellant. Also used as additives for lowering surface tension and as hydraulic oils and lubricants.</p> |
