PURPOSE: A device for testing a tailgate latch of a wagon is provided to increase the accuracy of a test by continuously holding uniform load and to improve reliability of products by the test by preventing the breakage of a testing jig. CONSTITUTION: A device for testing a tailgate latch of a wagon is composed of a bar(22) connected with a plate(100) to apply load by pulling a rod(21); a pair of fixing brackets(23) for supporting both sides of the bar; an X-shape supporting bar(24) for guiding vertical motions of the bar to move the bar up and down to the change of load; and a guide rail(25) for guiding the movement and fixation of the supporting bar. The bar includes an elongated hole(22c) vertically formed at the side of a protruded unit(22b) and a wire fixing groove(22d) formed at the upper end. The fixing bracket comprising a pair of plates(23a,23b) includes elongated holes(23c,23d) vertically arranged at the upper parts of the plates installed to both sides of the bar and the lower ends of the plates are fixed to the side of a plate(101) to correspond the elongated holes of the fixing bracket to the elongated hole of the bar. The supporting bar is composed of a pair of plates(24a,24b) installed to left and right sides of the fixing bracket to be diagonally opposite to each other, combining holes(24c,24d) formed to the upsides of the plates, and rack gears formed at lower sides of the plates. The guide rail mounted under the supporting bar installs a pair of plates(25a,25b) to the lower of the supporting bar, forms rack gears(25c) to the upsides of the plates, and widens the supporting bar by the rack gears by combining the rack gear with the rack gear of the supporting bar.
