PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cordless system in a business office enabling a user to easily utilize a busy state service by a private branch exchange with a simple operation. SOLUTION: A cordless telephone is provided with: a detection means for detecting continuous depression of any of a plurality of keys for a prescribed time or over during a speech; a table for making a plurality of the keys correspond to busy state service request dial information used to request the private branch exchange to provide the busy state service and storing them; a read means for reading the busy state service request dial information corresponding to the key whose continuous depression for the prescribed time or over during a speech is detected by the detection means from the table; and a processing means for transmitting the busy state service request dial information read by the read means to the private branch exchange via a base station during the communication.
