PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device superior in display contrast or color reproduction ability or the like by means that a supporting body to support a light emitting tube is provided with a filter function to improve display quality level. SOLUTION: In a display device composed of a plurality of light emitting tubes in which a fluorescent material layer is arranged in the inner part, in which discharge gas is sealed, and which are composed of narrow tubes having a plurality of light emitting points in the longitudinal direction, and composed of a pair of substrates to pinch the plurality of the light emitting tubes from the display face side and the rear face side, a filter means to improve the display quality of the display device is installed at the substrate positioned at the display face side of the pair of substrates.
