PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polyamide resin composition excellent in dispersion of a transition metal compound, having stable quality and excellent in oxygen absorptivity, and an oxygen-absorptive polyamide resin composition obtained by the method. SOLUTION: The method for producing a polyamide resin composition comprises effecting polycondensation of a polyamide by using a metal atom in a metal compound or complex capable of imparting an oxygen absorptivity to a polyamide in combination with a phosphorus atom capable of accelerating the polycondensation of a polyamide so as to give a specified atom concentration ratio in the reaction system.
