PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing coke for a blast furnace that is capable of determining a formulation of raw material coal used in manufacturing the coke by previously estimating the enhanced effect of the coke strength at the rapid heating of coal in accordance with the ingredients in a rapidly heated gas of the coal and the proportion of the predetermined gas ingredients accounting for the heated gas ingredients. SOLUTION: In manufacturing the coke by charging the heated coal to the coke oven after the heating to carbonize the same, while previously obtaining a correlation between the variation of the coke strength manufactured from the heated coal using the heated gas containing an oxygen-containing ingredient to the coke strength manufactured from the heated coal not containing the oxygen-containing ingredient and the content of the oxygen-containing ingredient, the method estimates the variation to the coke strength from the oxygen- containing ingredient in the heating gas in use using the correlation.
