PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide guiding information, including easy to look at and easily understood guiding map, on a limited display screen of a portable telephone or the like. SOLUTION: A requested information acquiring unit 121 acquires a guiding request including present location information and destination information input by a position information input unit 101 of a user's terminal. A position information acquiring unit 122 acquires the position information of the present location and the destination from the information included in the request. A map information acquiring unit 123 acquires map information including the present location and the destination from the map information 111. A landmark information acquiring unit 124 acquires landmark information in the acquired map from the information 112. A frame map generating unit 126 divides the map with natural features of a landscape such as a railway or the like, the landmark, an intersection having a feature as references based on a path obtained by a path searching unit 125, and generates a frame map. A guide letter generating unit 127 generates a guide letter corresponding to the frame map.
