SULFO GROUP-CONTAINING RESIN VARNISH AND SULFO GROUP- CONTAINING CROSSLINKED RESIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a varnish which is a raw material for a protonic acid group-containing crosslinked resin having a high ionic conductivity, excellent resistance to water and methanol, and a low methanol permeability; an ionically conductive polymer film for a fuel cell comprising the crosslinked resin; and a fuel cell using the film.

SOLUTION: The sulfo group-containing resin varnish contains a polymer and a curing agent. The polymer contains specific sulfo group-containing structural units in a specified ratio to all the repeating structural units and has active hydrogen-containing groups at the molecular chain terminals. The sulfo group-containing crosslinked resin is obtained by heat-treating the varnish.
