<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of a method of integrating a transmission and a motor generator wherein the flexibility in the design of the motor generator is reduced and the number of gears for connecting the motor generator and a first shaft (input shaft) is increased or the size of gears is enlarged because the gear train mounted on the first shaft (input shaft) and a torque transmission mechanism interfere with the motor generator. <P>SOLUTION: The automatic transmission comprises the first shaft for introducing the power of an engine and a third shaft to synchronize with the rotation of the first shaft. The automatic transmission also has a second drive gear fixed to the third shaft and a second driven gear engaged with the second drive gear so that fastening and idle rotation to the second shaft are allowed. Accordingly, the flexibility in the design of the motor generator is improved by preventing the extension in the longitudinal axial direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
