PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for a printed wiring board suitable for high voltage use, surely preventing a forced fitting and a reverse fitting while being small and thin. SOLUTION: The connector comprises a base connector 1 having a base housing 2 formed as a flat box shape having an open front, which houses a plurality of pin connects 3 in parallel, and a socket connector 21 having a socket housing 22. A plurality of cylindrical housing parts 24 for housing individually and separately a socket contact 32 connected to an end part of a plurality of wires 31, are disposed on the socket housing 22 with a certain space. On an inner surface of a lower wall 6 of the base housing 2, a projecting piece 9 engaging in a gap part 26 between the cylindrical housing parts 24 is provided extendedly to an opening 4. A cutout 10 is provided along a circumference of an upper wall of the opening of the base housing 2 allowing the projecting piece 9 to be seen from the upper side of the base housing 2 through the cutout 10.
