PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a parallel tracking processing apparatus and a parallel tracking processing method for quickly achieving a series of tracking processing by enabling each tracking processing means to perform local processing without collecting any new hypothesis information until a specific count is reached. SOLUTION: Each of the tracking processing means 1-1 to 1-n comprises: a hypothesis generation means 11; a hypothesis storage means 12; a target storage means 13; an observation point input count storage means 14; and a control means 10 for controlling each of the means 11-14. Each time when an observation point is inputted from a sensor 3, an updated hypothesis for indicating the possibility of the combination between a target and an observation point, the observation point is generated and is stored by a hypothesis storage means 12, and an observation point input count is counted up based on the observation point, hypothesis, and target. When the observation point input count reaches a specific one, the hypothesis of each of the tracking processing means 1-1 to 1-n is integrated, thus executing dispersion processing to each tracking processing means.
