PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a cost, avoid the lowering of cooling and deicing efficiencies due to the shortage of refrigerant, and avoid the problem with the noise of a compressor and the lowering of the cooling efficiency of an evaporator by heat exhaustion from the compressor by installing the compressor at a place apart from the evaporator. SOLUTION: This cooling device comprises a bypass pipe 24 and a three-way valve 25. The bypass pipe 24 bypasses a liquid receiver 21 temporarily storing the refrigerant condensed by a condenser 12 and an expansion valve 22 expanding the refrigerant force-fed through the liquid receiver 21. The three-way valve 25 is electrically controlled to maintain the refrigerant flow passage in the liquid receiver 21 and the expansion valve 22 during cooling operation and switches the refrigerant flow passage to a bypass pipe 24 during deicing operation.
