A hinge for a roto-molded lidded bin includes a first part 6 of substantially circular cross-section and having a concave surface 5 parallel to the rotational axis, and a second part being a linear groove 8 with a cross-section the major segment of a circle. The opening in the groove is of sufficient size so that the part 6 can be slipped into the groove using a translation motion that is transverse to the respective axes of the first and second parts and while the first and second parts are at a first predetermined rotational position with respect to each other. Thereafter the first and second parts remain interlocked irrespective of being in any other rotational position relationship. The hinge is particularly suitable for connection of a lid on a refuse bin, both the lid and the bin including the respective hinge parts being roto- molded.
