<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus wherein failures (the temperature rise of a unit easily affected by heat and the blocking of waste toner) caused by heat discharged from a transfer material are prevented by improving a treatment for the heat discharged from the transfer material just after fixation while accomplishing energy-saving. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with an image forming part 2 for forming an image on the transfer material 1, a fixation unit 3 arranged under the image forming part 2 so as to thermally fix the image on the transfer material 1, and a delivery/carrying path 5 for delivering/carrying the just-fixed transfer material 1 delivered from the fixation unit 3 outside the image forming apparatus body. The image forming apparatus is further provided with a heat insulating means 6 arranged in a space between the upper part of the delivery/carrying path 5 and the image forming part 2 so as to insulate the heat going toward the image forming part 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
