<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a light time-division multiplex signal of high quality using a simple constitution, without converting the light signal into an electrical signal or generating jitters. <P>SOLUTION: An optical multiplexing device characterized by providing a light generation source which generates light signal of intensity modulation in a specified frequency, a first wave multiplexing and demultiplexing device which demultiplexes an output of the light source, a variable light delay device which controls the transmission delay time of a first light signal demultiplexed by the first wave multiplexing and demultiplexing device, a second wave multiplexing and demultiplexing device which combines the second light signal separated by the first wave multiplexing and demultiplexing device and the first light signal delayed by the variable optical delay device, a detection circuit which detects jitters of the combined signal by the second wave multiplexing and demultiplexing device, and a variable optical delay device control circuit, which controls the transmission delay time of the variable delay device so as to make an interval of the combined signal by the second wave multiplexing and demultiplexing device to be an equal interval, based on the detected result of the detecting circuit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
