<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the durability of an automatic opening/closing device for vehicles by preventing deflection of an output gear. <P>SOLUTION: An actuator unit 11 has an electric motor 20 and rotation of an armature shaft 25 of the motor 20 is transmitted to an output gear 32 via a reduction gear mechanism 21. The output shaft 32 is fixed to and rotates integrally with an output shaft 30. A crank arm 18 is fixed to the output shaft 30 and a connecting rod 12 is connected to the crank arm 18. Thus, a load exerted from a back door by way of the connecting rod 12 is applied to the output shaft 30 via the crank arm 18, so the output shaft 32 will not be deflected by the load. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
