<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the thermal insulation property of a pressing member of a friction pad and an advance and retraction mechanism to protect an electric component such as an electric motor inside a caliper body and a turning component of the advance and retraction mechanism from braking heat so as to improve the accuracy of operation and the durability of each component and form an excellent thermal insulation measure like this inexpensively by a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: The caliper body 8 is formed by connecting an action part 10 incorporating the advance and retraction mechanism for pressing and sliding the friction pad 3 on one side against a disc rotor 1 by driving force of the electric motor 15 with an anti-action part 12 for pressing and sliding the friction pad 4 on the other side against the disc rotor 1 by a bridge part 13. A thermal insulation member having lower heat conductivity than that of the pressing member is arranged between the advance and retraction mechanism and the pressing member to connect the pressing member with the advance and retraction mechanism. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
