PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate for a flat panel display (FDP) which is light in weight, is hardly crackable, and has performance to sufficiently prevent the permeation of substances to active substances, such as moisture and oxygen, and can be bent, a display device, an organic electroluminescence element, and a liquid crystal display element. SOLUTION: The substrate for the FDP arranged with an adhesive layer or tacky adhesive layer between a glass plate of 10 to 300μm in thickness and a resin film is used on the outside surface side of a display element for the FDP.
