PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel invisible region light blocking material which transmits visible region light, and blocks invisible region light, namely infrared rays and ultraviolet rays. SOLUTION: The material comprises a synthetic resin containing preferably 30 to 98 wt.% of a hexagonal laminar compound of indium zinc oxides expressed by general formula (ZnO)<SB>m</SB>.In<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>(m=2 to 20), and having an average thickness of 0.001 to 0.3μm and an average aspect ratio of 3 to 1,000.
