PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for exchanging personal data such as business card data by using a portable telephone terminal with an e-mail communication function, using an auxiliary input device in a meeting and using e-mail and a database between portable telephone terminals. SOLUTION: Each individual has an auxiliary input device 2 for exchanging electronic business cards and transmits e-mail written with the personal data to the database server 3 existing over the Internet by connecting the auxiliary input device 2 to the opposite party's portable telephone terminal 1 with an e-mail communication function. A database in the database server 3 can store the personal data (portable telephone number, mail address, name, place of work, telephone number at place of work, or the like). In the database server 3, a profile card (electronic business card) for self-introduction can be freely prepared, and a self-electronic business card is transmitted to the opposite mail address registered in the database to perform self-introduction.
