摘要 A polymer modified along the polymer chain based on conjugated dienes and vinyl aromatic compounds, up to 60 wt.% of which have /- 92% cis double bonds, and of mean weight average molecular weight Mw = 50,000 to 1,500,000, gel content <= 5%, and degree of modification 0.05-20 wt.% is new. An Independent claim is also included for preparation of the polymer involving: (a) polymerization of the conjugated diene or conjugated diene and vinyl aromatic compounds at -30 to 130 deg C in the presence of rare earth metal compounds and an inert aromatic solvent, where the water content of the reaction mixture is <= 1000 ppm; (b) the 1.0-1000 mmole/100 g active hydrogen atom containing polymer is reacted with 0.1-200 mmole, relative to 100 g of polymer, of organometallic compounds or the metal itself, where the metal is selected from alkali or alkali earth metals, in the presence of 0.1-200 mmole, relative to 100 g of polymer, of compounds capable of coordinative bonding with the metallized polymer anion at 20-200 deg C; and (c) reaction of the stabilized polymer anion obtained at 0-200 deg C with 0.01-200 mmole, relative to 100 g of polymer, of organic compounds, having a group capable of reacting with the polymer anion and at least one polar group, where the latter is selected from groups III, IV, V, VI, or VII, or a combination of these. The group able to react with the polymer anion is selected from carbonyl-, acid chloride-, metal halogenide-, sulfenyl-, sulfonyl-, or aminochloride groups, reactive double bond-containing groups, epoxide-, isocyanate-, nitrile-, silicon- and tin-organic groups, in the presence of aprotic organic solvents.
