PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for determining a concentration of a certain analyzed material in a certain physiological sample. SOLUTION: The apparatus is a measuring instrument having a certain inner structure. The inner structure includes a certain test piece selection element constituted so as to select a single test piece at once and having a certain continuously decreasing cross section area and a means for determining the concentration of the certain analyzed material in the certain physiological sample supplied to the selected test piece. In the method for accommodating at least one test piece and distributing the single test piece at once, the certain measuring instrument for internally accommodating at least one test piece is provided. The measuring instrument is positioned to the ground so as to move from a certain position where the single test piece is accommodated to a certain position where the single test piece is distributed.
