PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a clue to decrypt a common key from being delivered to a third person in a radio cipher communication utilizing an authentication server. SOLUTION: After a station and an access point are connected, the station transmits a hash value created from a user name and a password to a server and initiates a WEP algorithm by using a held WEP key. Afterwards, the user name and the password are encrypted by the WEP key and transmitted to the server again. The server specifies the WEP key from the first received hash value and tries to decrypt the next received encrypted data by the WEP key.
