PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the pressure of a shutter from being applied on a discharge part, as for a developer recovery container equipped with a shutter, to allow the shift of the discharge part connected to the recovery port of the recovery container, and, to simplify a mechanism including a shutter for opening/closing the recovery port. SOLUTION: The recovery container 124 is provided with the shutter 138 for opening/closing the recovery port 136. An opening/closing piece 144 is arranged on the rotary shaft 140 of the shutter 138, and the piece 144 comes into contact with a projection formed on the image forming apparatus main body side, then, the shutter 144 is widely opened so that the discharge port inserted into the recover port 136 may not come into contact with the shutter. The recovery port 136 is formed into a oblong hole so as to allow the shift of the discharge part, further, several door parts 142 are integrally formed with the shutter 138 so as to open/close the several recovery ports 136 all together.
