PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable optical disk which can detect the periodic signal fluctuations of reproduced signals produced by an overall displacement of pits between adjacent tracks of a two-dimensional PRML system at every one sampling block and has a high recording density to permit follow-up correction. SOLUTION: The patterns undergoing the correction of the interference between two-dimensional codes are recorded in making the patterns of the medium and the codes are extracted after the signals obtainable during reproducing are subjected to multivalued follow-up correction.
